Beyza OKÇECİ Beyza was born on 25th June 1998 in Izmir, she obtained her BSc. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University in 2020. She subsequently started her master's study at the same institution in the same year under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Yildiz and worked on a Turkish NSF-funded project (TUBITAK 1002) where she investigated the possible regulation of microRNA MIR-124-3p on p60-katanin expression, she successfully defended her thesis on the same topic in June of 2022.
